Just sending it as a PCX, JPG, GIF or any other format isn't enough. You
must tell the scanning program what FORMAT to encode the picture as. My
Brother scanner outputs as BMP, TIF, BTF (Brother scanner), or EPS.
You must then take that picture and use another graphics program to output
as a GIF or JPG. I use PhotoMagic by MicroGrafx.
