Let me throw a wrench in the works here...

MANY ISP's do not allow users to use SMTP
servers outside the ISP's own domain while using
Port 25, (the standard port for outgoing e-mail.)

Picking up POP3 mail is easy and should work for
anyone with the account name and password.

There are several partial work-arounds.
There are limitations to everything I have tried
with Yahoo in combination with MY ISP.

The best way to work around this is to use a service
(and different e-mail address) that will cost money.

Summary: Try what the other person said, but do not
be real surprised if it will never work.

One last warning: Some "other" ISP's refuse ANY
Yahoo e-mail unless it comes DIRECTLY from an
actual Yahoo owned SMTP server. (This "cripples"
the most "common" work-around...)
