There have been lots of problems with the SR-2 A and B patches. In fact
Microsoft withdrew  A for a while.  I would suggest you go to
www.wopr.com    for the easiest to find  answers and most comprehensive
source about the problems associated with this patch or any Office
question. These guys are THE experts when it comes to Word. WOPR is a
software enchantment package for Word that has been around since Word 2.0
days. WOPR publishes a weekly news letter  that explained all the problems
and goings on with this patch. You can check their archives for this. They
even have a online forum where you can post a question to the programmers.

The best I can remember about this particular patch is that there is very
little reason to install it and if you are using Outlook the security
patches which are within 2a can be obtained independently.
