I've always had Windows Explorer display the file pane in detail mode with
files sorted by name. Suddenly, without any change that I know of, it now
sorts files by type instead and cannot get it to go permanently back to
name mode again.

I open Windows Explorer and all the files are sorted by type. I change it
to sort by name again. I close Windows Explorer. I open Windows Explorer
and all the files are sorted by type again.

Can anyone give me some hint on how to change this back? This is very
frustrating.
