Hello PCbuild members,

I hope someone can help me, let me explain myself:

Had installed SUSE 9.1, worked fine(thats what I thougt but) than it
crashed? Kernel panic.

I than used FDISK to format my hard drive and thought that I could
installed it again. But not so,

I got the grub prompt with the information Minimal bash like editing is
supported, for the first word, TAB
lists possible command completions. Any where else TAB lists the
possible completions of a divice/ filename.

Can someone help me with this problem, I want to install suse 9.1 again.
How can I deal with this part.

Surfing the net I found out that grub is a grand universal boot loader,
and that I have to make a bootdisk according to the

version of grub that I have (remained in the hard drive). The boot disk
has to contain a stage1 and stage2 file.

But I can't get it to be setup. It is also telling me that "Selected
cylinder exceeds maximum supported by BIOS"
(This error is returned when a read is attempted at a linear block
address beyond
the end of the BIOS translated area. This generally happens if your disk is
larger than the BIOS can handle (512MB for (E)IDE disks on older machines
or larger than 8GB in general).

Help linux specialists, is there a way out? As you already notice I am
new to linux but find it interesting!

Hope you can help me,

Thank you in advance for your help!
