The new AMD and Intel P4 motherboards come with Temperature and Voltage
Monitor (core voltage) softwares and I agree, neither mobo makers nor AMD &
Intel will tell you what the maximum Temperature is for a particular chip.
I would be interested in knowing the "Upper Limit" and "Lower Limit"  for
different chips, at different speeds.

In one of the articles I read last year, comparing Intel P4s and AMD chips,
P4 chips had the capability of withstanding higher temperatures than AMD.
That was last year and I don't know if that is still true today.
