On the second part of the question, I have had problems on my laptop.  I
have it connected to a network while at work and some applications are
served.  While at home off the network, I ran RegClean 4.1a and it deleted
my mapped drives from the registry and some of my served apps lost their
settings.  If you are on a network like this, I would recommend being
attached to the network when running RegClean.
