I need help desperately!! When I first received my computer I used to shut down by clicking Start/Shut Down and the screen was checked with Shut Down and all I did was click the OK. I could walk away and the computer went off. I installed a desktop theme and noticed that my shut down went to the screen Windows Is Shutting Down......but, it didn't shut down. It just hung and hung at that screen. I resorted to shutting down at the window with the power button. I uninstalled the desktop theme including the program that the theme had been made on.....I did not make the theme however the program was installed with the theme. According to the help file in the theme the LOGOS.SYS file would be changed when the theme is installed and revert back to the original when it is uninstalled. However, I still have that Windows Is Shutting Down screen and I am still using the power button to shut the computer off. I would like to get my computer to shut off like it did when I first received it. Any ideas??? And another problem I have is that I never had the window pop up asking for a password to log onto Windows. Now I have a password window. I know I can click Cancel to get it off the screen but, I would like to get rid of it altogether. Please help.....I'm not used to change and don't like the way these windows are working. Thank You.......Linda Tedesco
