I have the "same" jumper settings as you.
The only difference I can see is,
when setting mine up, I called the reader
drive "R", and the writer drive"W".
(Can't get names any easier than that... :)
All my programs default to the salve as "R"
Think this is because that letter comes first?
Could it really be that easy??? :)
Note: Changing a CD letter will have various
consequences on any installed programs
that "look for" the "old letter". (My old letter was "L")
You may be able to do something "close to"
