I agree with the other posts that right-button dragging gives you the option
to move/copy/create a shortcut.

But the behaviour of left-button dragging depends on the file type, so I
would also like to know if there's a registry setting.
- if you drag to another folder on the same drive, it moves - this is good
- if you drag to a folder on another drive, it copies - also good, I
understand this
- but if you are dragging an executable, it creates a shortcut - not good,
for me - if I want to create a shortcut I know to use the right button. I'd
like to change this behaviour to make the left-button more consistent.

Anyone?

I want to know if it is possible to change the function of dragging a file
from one destination to another (from Directory to Director or HD to Floppy,
etec) so that it moves it, instead of creating a shortcut. Possible registry
