Hi Larry,

If we knew the nature of the problem your are encountering with a specific
firewall we may be able to help. Assuming it's a compatibility issue, you
might try Sygates Personal Firewall. The Web site says it's compatible with
Windows 95 and 98.

Subject: [PCSOFT] Windows 98/Firewall software

I have tried 3 Firewalls software (Zone Alarm, Kerio, Mcaffee) and
had problems with all 3. They have made my system very unstable and it
locks up. The system I have is a Gateway G6-450.....I have had at
various times several antivirus software without any problems. I also
run Sybolt S&D, Adware with out any problems.
Does any one run a Firewall with Windows 98 and are there any secrets
to make the two work together?....Windows 98 is the original version not SE.
Thanks, Larry---I just got over the Kerio Firewall......it was really a
mess to get my system up and running again....finally after 6 hours of
tweaking...a little tired.
