Easy CD Creator is owned by Roxio now. Not sure ware Adaptec fits in. I had
the same problem that you talked about earlier, I updated my CDRW soft
ware.Direct CD and the  MFR firm ware for my CDRW to function with my
current OS and this solved the problem. Check out this link for some
answers, hopefully.
