This is probably one of the dumbest things I've done with my computer so
far. I used Norton Uninstaller to move MS Office 97, Netscape Navigator,
Harvard Graphics for Windows, and a few other minor programs from my c
drive to my d drive. It seemed to work just fine but when it came time to
run the programs, they didn't work. I thought well, this would be the
opportune time to install Netscape Communicator (second mistake) because it
detected the Netscape Navigator but I've lost my address book, file
folders, and ALL my bookmarks.
My machine now boots with a message that the NAV files are not installed so
this program will not run properly (but I don't know what program that is
and Netscape Communicator seems to work ok). I also had Norton Utilities
installed and I'm wondering if the files are associated with that or
Netscape.
I tried to use the uninstall program for Win 95 to uninstall MS Office - it
said it couldn't. Boy did I make some mess. I don't want to reformat my
drive - is there any help?
Thanks,
Darlene
