You "should" be able to pick a sound of "almost" any reasonable
length.  How long is the sound you want to hear?, and how much
of it do you "actually" hear?

Go in Control Panel (in Icon View) and select Sounds and Audio Devices.
Pick the Sounds Tab and select sounds there.

Depending on your settings, how you get there can (and will) change...
