I just hit upon a solution for part of the problem.

Send the message To: recipient B (not A).

Send a CC: to C.

Send a BCC: to A.

B and C will each receive the others address to let them know the other has
been addressed.

A will not see any address but his own, so will not know that the
message has been mailed to others.

I don't think you can send a short message to A without making a seperate
mailing. However, you could save the message in a notepad
so you can resend it exactly, then edit out the part you don't want seen by
all.
