Hi Mary:
Not sure what you're trying to do, but spell check is not a part of Windows.
It is a feature of your word processing program. So, if you're using Notepad
or Wordpad to type a document, neither include spell check. If your new
computer came without an office suite, you might want to purchase Microsoft
Works, which has a word processor, a spreadsheet, and something else I can't
remember...not as feature rich as Office, but quite handy and useful. I
think it costs around $99.00. Corel WordPerfect Suite Standard version is as
powerful and comparable to Microsoft Office but at a much lower price. But
if you don't need a spreadsheet or the other stuff, you might just want to
get Word or WordPerfect by itself for less than the cost of a suite.
