Hi

My daughter used to use a hotmail account on my puter, but has since
discontinued that “hotmail” email address and signed up with another “free”
email service.

However, the messenger icon still show up in my system tray, and when I
attempt to close it I can’t.

Can I delete ms-messenger. I don’t use it and I don’t like it. I believe
that when it’s running in sys tray, it uses  up memory which another
application could use.
