Dear Joe Pearson,
    You asked whether IE 4.0 SP1 could be installed on the original Win 95
Operating System.  The answer apparently is YES, because I installed it on
my original Win 95 in my backup computer, on which I previously had IE 4.01
installed.  After installation of SP1, you will see the version listed as IE
4.04, but the operating system will still show as Win 95 with no A or B
following the 95.
    In the IE4.TXT file, which is downloaded as part of SP1, the minimum
system requirement is listed as 486 CPU at 60-MHz speed.  My backup computer
has a 486 at only 33 MHz, but it still accepted and used SP1.
