Unless you have a compelling reason to do so, I don't think it's a great
idea to delete whatever cookies you might have. Cookies are the means by
which certain web sites 'remember' you from one visit to the next. For
me, this includes several financial sites that help me track my
investments, a TV listings site, and numerous online shopping sites.
Each cookie will appear to take up just a few bytes, but in reality they
each take up whatever your current cluster size is. This could be
anywhere from 4K to 32K each, but unless you have VERY many cookies,
which is unlikely, then I'd say the cons of deleting outweigh the pros.
Keep the cookies, and if you're that short of drive space, find
something else to get rid of, such *.tmp files, or unneeded *avi, *.mov,
or *.mpg files.
