I am having a problem with the amount of time it takes for Outlook Express to load and retrieve email. When I click on it to run it, it takes a good few minutes to load. After its loaded email retrieval is still normal however. It seems to be doing this after I updated my messenger clients MSN messenger, and AOL instant messenger to their latest versions, however uninstalling those did not fix the problem. That is the only changes that were made to my system.

Specs are:
OS: WinXP and all service packs and security fixes
CPU: Athlon XP 1900+
Mobo: Asus A7V333
RAM: 1GB DDR
HDD: 40GB Western Digital 8MB Cache
Other optical drives, etc.

Other Software includes Office XP, IE 6, Symantec Antivirus (disabled), Blackice Firewall (also disabled but still does not fix).

I was wondering if anyone might know what could be the cuplrit or how it could be fixed to load how it used to.

Curt
