I can help you with a test to see if USB 2 is indeed USB 2. Select a
large file (about 10 MG is ideal) and copy it using USB 1. Note the time
it takes to copy. Now copy the same file using USB 2. It should take
about one tenth of the time it took for the USB 1 transfer.

Regarding your query on Ghosting using USB. I use Ghost 2002 but not
USB. However, I note from my manual that 2002 will not ghost to a CD on
a USB cable.

I note that you can set up a transfer using USB using the Ghost Boot
Wizard to create a boot disk. Are you using a boot disk? If not, I
suggest you do otherwise some files may not ghost correctly. Also, you
cannot ghost to an NTFS disk, it has to have a FAT 32 system unless you
have the commercial version of Ghost.

Can you disconnect all devices from the USB 1 ports and connect them to
USB 2? Can you remove the USB 1 ports entirely from your computer?

I seem to remember once before someone had trouble ghosting to a USB
device. perhaps that person might let us know what the outcome was.

You might like to read my second message under the subject "Hard drive
image software." using that method will be faster that USB 2.
