MaryJane,

A popular program to help with .zip files is Winzip, there isn't any type of
utility that comes with windows, but Winzip is a nice program. you can get
it at http://www.winzip.com but do take note it is shareware. You also need
the unzipping program that does the actual unzipping of .zip files, the name
of this utility is pkunzip, you can get the pkware files at
http://wchat.on.ca/web/help/pkunzip.htm

with pkware (includes pkunzip.exe) and a program like Winzip, you can unzip
.zip files. Keep in mind there is many different types of programs to handle
.zip files, but Winzip is just one of the popular ones, it's kinda nice and
not too hard to use to... do keep in mind Winzip is shareware. you could
look at http://www.tucows.com under the topic of "compression utilities" you
can get an idea of different programs out there or any other
shareware/freeware software download site.

hope this helps... and best of luck!

Lynn Batson
