But you don't have to resort to cutting and pasting, or inserting Symbols.
Just install the needed fonts and switch to them for the passages required.
The only problem may be to learn how the oddball characters relate to your
keyboard (especially where Cyrillic is concerned).
A more thorough solution is to install Word's multi-language support. A
basic version comes with the installation CD, but I think you have to
obtain some additional software from MS to get full-blown r/w capabilities.
Also, it commits Word to a universal character set that uses two bytes per
character.
For the limited usage which your question describes, I would think that
just having a fistfull of fonts would be adequate.
