Steve,
first check that the address you are sending to is properly formed. If it's
a reply it's unlikely there's a problem.
I sometimes get this error even with valid addresses when Outlook hasn't
started properly (and I think the MAPI spooler mapisp32.exe in particular).
Rebooting, starting Outlook cleanly, and then sending a fresh message to the
same contact always works for me. (The message that originally reported the
error seems to be permanently stuck.)
Do you get this with all messages or just some?

I can send from Outlook Express 4. My ISP tells my it's a software problem
that they don't support. I've no idea why this has just started to happen ?
