I have a new Dell PC (Dimension 8400) and this problem still escapes me. On a fresh boot, I can access my home page and surf using IE (I know, I know), but once I close the browser and then try to open it again, I get the "page cannot be displayed" error. I've tried different security settings, clearing the cache, different browser settings and different privacy settings to no avail. I use AOL to connect, then I'll switch. I know it's needed for Windows update, and I like my Google search but one other disturbing trait is that the Folding at Home projects I run can't connect to upload/download when I can't open IE. Any suggestions? (OS is XP Pro SP2)
