My computer is a Dell laptop, 233 mhz, pentium II running Windows 95 and
I had a question about getting the sounds to work. The start up sound
plays but after the computer is up and running, the other sounds (mail
notification, critical fault, progarm close, Windows shutdown, etc)
don't seem to always work. When I go to Sounds on the control panel
and try to preview the sound, an error message pops up that says that
Windows cannot play that wav file, sound card may already be in use. Is
there any way I can find out what is using the sound card and stop it?
I have nothing running but Windows and sometimes Netscape 4.7. Any
help would be greatly appreciated.
