Whenever you do a defrag or a scan disc to your PC you
should close your screen saver and background.  To do
this "right" click on your mouse, "left" click on
properties, click the "down" arrow and scroll down
until you see "none."  Click "apply" and "ok" This
will eliminate your background.  Do the same for
"screen saver"  All you should have is a greed desk
top with your icons.  Now do your scan disc and
defrag.  To put your screen saver and background back
just follow the same process. Patrick
