I would not tempt going on the interent at all, without virus protection.
You can buy any number of virus programs and run them on a machine
that is not on the internet. When you do connect, make sure the first
place you go is to the update site for the virus program.

If you know someone with Norton Antivirus, you can run it from the cd,
but it will not have the updates on it.
