OK could you provide us with some more info. Firstly what OS are you using? and does this Kernel32.dll error occur only when you try to run scandisk in safe mode?
have you tried running scandisk in normal mode - why do you run scandisk in safe mode in the first place?
My experience of Kernel32 crashing is usually memory problems, once that crashes you usually have to restart anyway (by hitting the reset button on your pc) as its part
of the core windows files. I will look further in to this when the above information is supplied plus anything else you feel relevant.
