I've just had a bad experience with Norton. I bought an HP laptop with 
Windows XP Pro and Norton Security software trial version already on board. 
In the past I had always used Trend Micro for all my PCs but decided to try 
Norton. I paid for and downloaded the full Norton package nut when I started 
to install it everything went haywire. I ended up having to take the laptop 
to my repair shop and it cost me Ł27.50 to get it fixed. I have now gone 
back to Trend Micro for both my main PC and my laptop while hoping I can 
persuade Norton to refund the
Ł50 I paid them for a load of trouble.
