If you are referring to PC Pitstop (http://www.pcpitstop.com/) I have used
it many times over the years. They have some good tests that can help you
detect and fix computer problems. You didn't mention which scan you did so I
can't comment on that, but many free sites depend on sales or advertising to
survive so I would guess it was one of their sponsors.
