One thing you can do for your friend is download the inteligent updater from
the Symantec web site on your cable connection and take it to him. The i32
file comes in a set of files that can be placed on floppy or if you have a
burner you can put the single file onto a
cd.http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/download.html There is also
a link once you get into which platform you are using for product updates.
Might note that his definition subscription still needs to be current to use
this file.
