my os also is win 98se and i recently up graded to pdf reader 6.0 and have not faced any problems so far in opening pdf files.

i must of course have to add that i have so far not needed to open pdf files sent as attachments to e-mails and i do not know about copatability problems between acrobat 6.0 and e-mail pdf attachments.  thanks and have a nice day
