I checked out all of the Langa Lists (I'm a subscriber to that list and knew what I would find). He covers how to get back your home page that is hijacked.
I tried something different as I couldn't find the controls to the seach screen. I downloaded the newest copy of Ad-Aware. I had been using version 5.7 and it didn't seem to find anything. Version 5.8 found everything, especially when you run a deep scan on the registry. It found 15 keys related to "Lop.com", and it took them all out. Now I got my original search screen back and it works fine.
