Erik,
There are multiple windows directories because some portions of Windows
can not be compressed. Therefore you should have a windows folder on
drive H: and a windows folder on drive C:. I don't know why you have a
third folder.
It is possible to uncompress that drive **IF** there is enough empty space
on the drive.
The uncompress routine will check the drive to see if there is enough room
before it begins doing any actual work.
Also, be aware that uncompressing a drive is not always a successful
venture. So backup any critical data before beginning and make sure you
have the Windows disks/CD to reinstall if needed.
You can improve your odds of succeeding, if you do the following:
1. Close ALL open applications. The ONLY thing you should have in the
system tray is the digital clock and the speaker and (if the PLUS cd was
installed) the TASK SCHEDULER. If the TASK SCHEDULER is installed, then
RIGHT click on it and disable/pause it.
2. Use the SCANDISK program to check both the C and H drives immediately
before uncompressing.
The DriveSpace program is located at:
START - PROGRAMS - ACCESSORIES - SYSTEM TOOLS - DRIVESPACE.
Select the drive to uncompress (C:>) and then pick the UNCOMPRESS option
on the DRIVE drop down menu.
Good luck,
Jim Meagher

I inherited a:
Packard Bell Axel 350CD
(3). Is there a way of decompressing the entire drive and make one (1)
drive without loosing Win95 (OEM) in the process?
Please advise if additional system information would be helpful.
