You need to change to a completely different program. There are two
different ways to use scanned images. Those images that are of photographs
or other graphic images are viewed and edited by drawing and photographic
retouching programs such as the Adobe program you mention. The other way
to use scanned images is those images that are of text documents. To use
these, you must use an Optical Character Recognition (OCR) program. These
programs convert the scanned image into a document that can be edited and
printed with any text editor (WordPad) or word-processing program (Word).
Most scanners come with a graphics editor like Adobe and an OCR program
like TextBridge OCR.
