"Chris,
Below is a link to a very basic, overview of HTML for beginners:
http://www.htmlgoodies.com/primers/html/article.php/3478141

I am just beginning to learn HTML and it was very user friendly and
understandable. Hope it helps. It come in six section that they say should
last six days but can be done in about an hours time.
Dave Schroeder."

Thanks Dave. Of another interesting note to anyone interested in persuing
HTML farther, I've found a link to some interesting scripts that are
available for free for adding to page format. I'm always interested in
finding additional sources for information, and one of the best has been
these forums.

On a further note to Toomas Piibe's reply to Pete's inquiry, I found an
additional piece of information regarding attribute values in XHTML:
"Attribute values must always be quoted. You can use both single or double
quotation marks....as long as you choose to include them...and be consistent
with one or the other." -HTML 4 for Dummies, pg. 309. (it's been awhile
since I've done reference work, so I hope I've given proper credit!)

I believe that in Peter's original post, the reference to the lack of
quotation marks for "stylesheet" is already defined by the implementation of
the use of "mystyle.css". The W3C's stylesheet resources are found at
http://www.w3.org/Style/CSS/ and additional CSS resources can be found at
the Web Design Group's CSS Guide at www.htmlhelp.com/reference/css. Also,
before the root element of any web page is supposed to be a DOCTYPE
declaration that references the DTD for validation (strict, transitional,
frameset). They can be found at http://www.w3.org/MarkUp/#historical, and
http://www.w3.org/TR/REC-html40/sgml/dtd.html.
