I've had a problem ever since I installed windows98. If I have only Explorer and systray running at startup Windows is still using 39mbs of Ram. I went through all of the troubleshooting procedures but, I gained no significant Ram. I currently have 64mbs of pc100 ram installed and I'm going to put in another 64. I would still like to know how to reduce the power consumption by Windows. Any ideas?
