Having the FP extensions installed on the ISPs server is not required. It
will prevent you from using certain features (like on-line editing and the
built-in site search), but you can still design and publish webs.
Also, there have not been any security problems for 3 versions now. I
suspect that many ISPs are using that excuse so that they do not have to pay
more tribute to the robber barons at MS. (and in many ways I sympathize with
them <grin>)
