NDIS is an interface component between higher-level protocols and a
network adapter. PPP is a lower-level transport protocol, and MAC refers
to a low-level networking address (not actually used under PPP, but
maybe simulated).
Your simplest recourse might be to reinstall Dial-Up Networking, and
the DUN 1.3 update from Microsoft's web site.
