I use no download manager just IE. If you browse to your desired target that
will be the default place that you download to. Granted it goes back to My
Documents after the next reboot, but with cable I have no need for a DL mgr.
Small price for one less app to run.

Hi all.
Most of the time I use Getright for downloading, but occasionally a site
won't allow the use of a download manager, so the default Windows downloader
opens up.

But this app has no apparent method of setting the download target, and
instead selects 'My Documents' as a destination for the file (although on
some machines, I've seen this default to the desktop)

Anyone know how to set the native Win98SE downloader to use a specific
target folder? Obviously, one can change each download destination
manually, but it does get a little tedious at times.

TIA
