Carol,

You should always tell us what program you are using.
They do not all work identically.

Howver, I can see from your message header that you
are currently using OE5.x.

Point to the message (in the message listing), you wish to copy.
Click FILE --- SAVE AS.
Change the filename to anything you want (or leave it as named)
BUT---- make sure you include A: in front of the filename.
    (for example:  file is called Mail1 --- change to A:Mail1)
As an option, you can click on the SAVE AS TYPE list and change
the format from email to plain text if you wish.
Lastly, click the SAVE button.

You will have to do this for each message.  There is no convenient way
to save a bunch at one time.
