Now an addendum to my last post about the scan being aborted.
One of our employees who works from home, and VPN into work just hit his life update and now faces that same issue of the scan being aborted.
On the machine I was referring to, I even this time did the uninstall of Norton, plus delted out of the registry any mention of Norton or Symantec as well as the folders under C:programs. This caused the reinstall of Norton took take longer as I expected but got the same result.
