I did a search of my hard drive for files with a .cnf extension and the result was a single shortcut in
c:\program files\netmeeting\speedial. The following site varified that cnf files are (various) configuration
files http://filext.com/ . I'd suggest you leave them be and let whatever program that made them open them.
