Thanks Paul, but that was the first thing I tried and it doesn't do it.

Ben Moore got it in one (thanks Ben) with this link:

Apparently, after the settings have been copied to a new user, the original user can be deleted by the via the Safe Mode\Administrator route.

I haven't tried it yet, I'm just clearing my mail after a few days away, but I'll post again as soon as I ratify the method.
