What is the O/S? If Win98, try Dr. Watson. Try turning off any virus
protection that's running at startup or in memory. I would not be surprised
to find that the problem is caused by one of these overblown, poorly
designed and mostly unnecessary programs.
Also, be suspicious of shareware/freeware/bets programs that may not be
fully debugged.
To pinpoint this thing, you'll have to get methodical:
Run Scandisk and defrag.
Take note of what apps were running when the problem occurs.

No file reference is in this message....simply an error in
the registry..Or so it states...Any thoughts? I have been going nuts with
this silly thing....
