To create a help (HLP) file you will need to produce the document in RTF
(Rich Text Format). MS Word will allow you to do this, as well as
WordPad I believe. After saving it in the RTF format, you will need to
use the Microsoft conversion program Help Compiler which has various
versions. HC505.EXE is one I received as an update from an MS rep. Other
versions are HC.EXE, HCW.EXE, or HCW.EXE. I don't know what the latest
or best version is. The Help Compiler normally is part of programming
languages such as Visual Basic, Visual C++, or Borland Builder.

After some of the excellent advise I have had from this list I would
like to
consolidate the information into a kinda 'Help File'. I can recreate the
style of a Help file with HTML, but I was wondering if it is possible to
make the real thing? If any one knows of a programme or a way to do this
please let me know
