I'm not sure how it decides what order to queue the songs. At first I
thought it did it according to date and time that the file was downloaded or
modified, but after checking that I saw it wasn't the case.

As far as I know, the method for creating and saving a playlist hasn't
changed. You select the files that you want, put them in the order that you
want, then go to the Load List button and select Save List. Then when you
want to play that list, go to Load List again and select Load List.
