Every now and then one gets a window describing something or other, and one cannot read the entire message or line in the window and
the window size can not be adjusted.

For example, when receiving mail in Windows Mail (doing a "send and receive all"), a "Windows Mail" window opens up. There is, in
this case, a slider bar at the bottom, but I would like to make the entire window larger, by default if possible, but I don't know
how to do it.

Does anybody know how to make these windows larger? Perhaps it would involve editing the registry?

These fixed windows sizes are annoying.
