When I go to Outlook Express (6.0) Tools, Options, General tab there are two select boxes at the bottom for setting OE as the default email and news handler. In my case those boxes are grayed out, thus I cannot select them. This is a recent change because a couple weeks ago I had a bigtime crash and had to format my hard drive and reinstall Win98SE. Before I had selected OE as my default program. In my browser settings for Tools, Internet Options, Programs tab, OE is shown as my Internet Service for Email and Newsgroups. Somewhere else I must have an incorrect setting that is preventing me from making these selections in OE Tools. Can someone help me fix this problem? I should add that twice now I've been unable to use programs/services because of this glitch.

Thank you.

Mike Williams
